Jordan Bak

“A young artist to watch for,” (Seattle Pi) Jordan Bak is an Artist Diploma violist at The Juilliard School and an alumnus of The Malverne School of Music, where he teaches viola, violin, and piano. Jordan came to our school at age 3 to study piano with the Director, Mr. Steve Tice. A Sphinx Organization alum and MPower Artist Grant recipient, Jordan Bak won the 2017 Juilliard Concerto Competition and the Special Prize from the Verbier Festival. Currently, he is on the roster of the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players and can be heard as a recitalist and chamber musician in the United States and in Europe.

Sarah Ludwiczak

Teacher

Sarah began her music training at age 8, playing violin for various orchestras, including Gemini Youth Orchestra. She participated in numerous festivals including NYSSMA. In 9th grade, she began the viola as a secondary instrument. She graduated from Hofstra University with a scholarship for music education, where she studied with Christina Meyer and Dr. Alexander Sharpe. She has been teaching at the Malverne School of Music since the summer of 2000. Sarah holds a Masters in Music Education and a NYS teaching license for K-12 in General Education and Students with Disabilities 1-6. Utilizing her talent in violin, viola, violoncello and contrabasso, Sarah is a seasoned string specialist with years of experience.
